Blog fear...!

Ok so I have been a bit quiet on this blog malarkey, reasons being;
  1. Not feeling overly confident in my writing ability (I struggled at school due to my Dad being ill and dying of cancer so feel under confident with writing) I know I can write fine but I also know it’s not perfect! I have to get my husband to proof read the blog before I post it!!!
  2. Not entirely sure what to write about…I have loads of ideas but again, not overly confident or used to writing
  3. Been really busy with friends visiting, Joe being away and starting a new part time job

Any wayyy, I do want to get back into writing as I am hoping it be a release and may be people will read it?!

We have gained a new member of the family since I last blogged. Alfalfa, or Falfy for short, the tortoise.

He was given to us by my sister-in-law as they have a female tortoise and Falfy kept trying to have his wicked way with her! So he now has a lovely home in the garden and seems to be settling in well. He particularly likes sunbathing in the Cornish sun, like, who doesn’t?
I’ve had to bring him in a couple of times overnight due to the cold nights, but it literally drove me crazy as the dog is obsessed with him. Yes obsessed! I’ve never seen Red so interested in something before. And then the cat sniffed him out! Oh my days, she has tried to rip the carpet up to get into the bathroom, where I had put Falfy. I don’t even know what she would do to him but don’t want to find out. I left the bathroom door open by accident and found her trying to find him in the cardboard box that he was in!

I have a video of Felicity meeting Falfy for the first time and it wasn’t the best reaction but since then, she always talks about him and will wave and point when we show her him. She has yet to cuddle or touch him but he is really prehistoric looking so that’s fair. They can live to 100 years old so I’ve told her that she needs to get to like him as shes got him for a long time!!
