It felt like a luxury having our own toilet and shower facility at the tent. However, Felicity isn’t that keen on showers so we decided to give her a quick outdoor bath in the large sink that is provided for washing up. It was very quick but it did the job and she was nice and clean for the day ahead. We then drove down the road from the campsite to Newquay Zoo as I had never been and really wanted to visit. There was loads to see and there were lemurs as soon as you walk in. Felicity had a great time pointing out all the animals and us explaining what they were. She also loved the play area next to the meerkats! There was also an area where you could pet farm animals, so Joe and Felicity loved being able to stroke the goats. They do also have big animals there, such as lions and zebras. It is a great day out and so close to Newquay town itself. We then decided to head somewhere nice for lunch so we went to Lewinnick Lodge on the Pentire headland. We sat outside as the views are incredible of the ocean. We also had the most delicious lunch. I would highly recommend it if you are in that area. We then went back to the campsite to have some chill time as I was pretty exhausted by this point. I have been struggling quite a bit with pain in my pelvis. So as I was going to have a sleep, Joe took Felicity out to Lappa Valley, which is a train a steam railway. Joe said she absolutely loved going on the train and seeing all the activities there. They did a pedalo on the boating lake and had lots of areas for children to play. I really enjoyed my long nap and felt a lot better when they came back to the tent. Jessie X
