Cornwall staycation - Day 5

As this was our last day, we had to be checked out by 10am. We still had a lazy morning and packed up the car exactly at 10am! The staff were really friendly again and wished me luck with the new baby. The customer service at Trevella is absolutely brilliant.

We then headed back home, which is literally driving from the north coast to the south coast of Cornwall. As we were passing it on the way home, we stopped off at The Screech Owl Sanctuary. I adore owls and have always loved them since I was a child so I was very chuffed we were finally visiting. It was a fantastic place, loads of different varieties of owls. They had a huge play area for the kids, which is right next to the little tea shop. We had some lovely homemade chocolate brownie from the tea shop and a coffee, which we sat and had while watching the alpacas and donkeys. Yes donkeys again! My 2 favourite animals, owls and donkeys, in the same place. I was very happy! We then saw a small owl display by one of the keepers, with a barn owl, who was pouncing on the food the keep was throwing. We also checked out the 2 meerkats that they have there.

We then headed off home from our lovely staycation in Crantock. Whilst we did all these activities and went to all these different places, I used an app on the iphone called App for Cornwall. It was brilliant because it was really simple to use, gave really good suggestions of activities to do and provided you with a map to get there.

We absolutely loved our stay at Trevella and really appreciated the luxury of glamping, instead of camping. The tent was fantastic for a heavily pregnant women and a 3 year old child. It was a brilliant tent for a family and really made all the difference having our own shower and toilet. It is camping, but with those luxuries. Felicity absolutely loved being able to pop outside of the tent and safely play. It was really nice to be relaxed and chilled, knowing she was safe playing just outside. It was also a lovely walk to spend some quality time together as a family of 3.
